Pastor Proehl has been leading Cornerstone in Worship, Accountability & Service for the past 13 years. He and his wife, Annette, have 5 children. In his spare time Garry enjoys hiking, backpacking and camping.  He loves to read which fuels his passion for leadership here at Cornerstone and like everyone on the staff team he loves coffee.

Christians who do not tip well at restaurants

Mustard Pretzels and a Diet Mountain Dew

My hiking stick made from sassafras or the latest John Grisham book

Evan F. Staggs, Worship & Media Pastor

Evan has been on the Cornerstone team since June, 2008. He oversees the worship, media and choir ministries. He and his newlywed wife, Kate, stay busy situating themselves back here to Wheelersburg (Evan's hometown.) Evan enjoys hiking, camping and backpacking and reading. He too loves coffee and more than anything loves spending time with Kate.

Mouth Noises!
What food do you eat for comfort?
Cereal
What is one of your greatest material treasures?
A pocket knife I received on a Summer Project with Campus Crusade
What does God want from us?
I believe that God wants us to accept the sacrifice He made for us and worship Him and know Him intimately.
What is one object in nature that reminds you of God's love?
I would have to say that any forest or mountain range that borders a lake or river.

Mike and his wife, Karen, both grew up in this area and are glad to return after years of service at many locations in the Nazarene Church. Mike oversees both the Family Care ministry and the Fellowship ministry. They will likely be the first people you meet as you walk through our doors on Sunday morning.

People who do not follow up on their responsibilities assigned to them

My ring given to me on Father's Day several years ago from Karen, my daughter Danna and our three granddaughters Megan, Brittany and Heidi.

His total will in our lives

The Wind! God's Spirit can come from anywhere anytime.

Fake-ness

What is one object in nature that reminds you of God's love?

My son. He reminds me how hard it must have been for God to give up his only Son, just to give a chance for an unworthy worm like me to be in the presence of the Almighty God.

Anne and her family are the newest addition to our staff team at Cornerstone! The are joining us from Madill, Oklahoma. Anne and her husband, Rob, have three children: Phillip, Preston, and Porter. Anne will be overseeing all Children's Ministry at Cornerstone. Welcome Anne and Family!

The eagle. Through all of his majesty, strength, and glory he protects his territory and he bonds for life! That's the God I love! The God who protects me and keeps me!

Non-observance of the Golden Rule

Mashed Potatoes (and a new favorite: Kate's Homemade Applesauce)
What is one of your greatest material treasures?
A fourth grade art project -- a pair of Christmas bells made out of plastic cups. A little blue purse that I've had since First Grade.  My grandmother's sweater that still has a peppermint wrapper in the pocket and my uncle's "good" hat, that he wore on special occasions.
What does God want from us?
To love Him, and to love one another as we would love ourselves.

Ryan and his wife Renee lead the youth and teen ministries here at Cornerstone. They are both actively involved in the lives of our teens and lead them in worship, accountability and service each week. They have a son named Preslee. Ryan also leads "Gethsemane Road" which leads worship for the teens.
